Charla Pettingill was born and raised in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in East Tennessee. She earned her B.F.A. and M.A. in Illustration at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia.

Charla is now an internationally-published illustrator and designer based in Atlanta, Georgia. She creates artwork that is elegant, feminine, and colorful using both watercolor and digital media. She is currently available for freelance illustration and is seeking representation by an illustration agent.

When she isn't illustrating, Charla enjoys painting, writing, and making jewelry. She is presently working on her own series of greeting cards and stationery as well as several children's book concepts.
